Another day of work. It was
pretty fun today. After a really slow morning and a sad time at the gym (I realized
I gained 5 pounds… but I’m determined to change that before I leave) I had a
fun afternoon leading large group activity once again. Today we did a water relay
in which the kids had cups on their head that they had to run with and dump
into a coffee can while keeping the cup on their head. It was really funny
because the kids would spill most of the water before getting to the can and
once they got to the can they would completely miss and spill the water
everywhere. It definitely reminded me of Little Rascals when they pass the
bucket to put out the fire and by the time it got to the fire it was two drops
left in the bucket. The kids were being awesome and cheering for their teams
which is unusual. There weren’t any fights or rude comments. The kids had a ton
of fun and that made me so happy 9plus I got a good laugh watching them do this
relay). I also finally got everything together that I need to bake Anneke’s
cake on Thursday and I am getting really excited for the potluck the staff is
putting on for us on Friday.
Today our PC also came to do midsummer
evals for us. I was so happy he got to see me lead an activity today and that
the kids were also in great moods for him. He rated me a 5 out of 5 overall and
he thinks I am doing great. So it was nice to hear that. Tonight I really do
plan on going to bed early so that I can be well rested and start an intense
workout plan for the next 3 weeks!
