What not to do on a bike: Fall off...

Today just was not my day at all! I started off my day by being wobbly and not careful on my bike. Long story short I fell and hit my ankle in between my bike and the curb. I also somehow scrapped up my other leg and my hands and arm even though I was wearing pants and a jacket. All the soldiers were outside doing PT and I was so embarrassed that I didn’t even have time to think about the pain or crying, I just yelled I was ok and rode off fast. By the time I got to the center I realized my ankle hurt really bad and that my leg was bleeding. I spent my morning finding the pain and swelling in my ankle getting worse and trying to just hobble around from room to room. The morning seemed to take forever because of my ankle hurting. When I got off for my split I was really sad, but I was responsible by not going to the gym. I even thought about just doing abs in my room but I decided to let my whole body rest and hope that that would make my ankle feel better. I was productive and worked on homework and took all my open bags of things (granola, pretzels, almonds, snacks, etc) and put them in snack zip locks to keep freshness and realized I had more food than I thought. I also had the biggest bowl of cereal ever because just like always there was that awkward amount of too much for one bowl but not enough for two (because it was grits for breakfast this morning and I choked down a little bit but I was still hungry). Before I left, the lady in charge of the Kinders said she would call her husband to bring a wrap and stuff for my ankle when she went on break since he works at the health clinic (it’s right across from the barracks but we can’t use it and I absolutely will not go back to a German doctor and have them keep me for a week because of a twisted ankle). So the rest of the day I was like a sitting duck. I literally was there just to keep ratio but I had ice and my foot up everywhere. Turns out I just hit my ankle at the weakest point where it bends so although it is no major damage it just hurts to walk. I feel bad and that made the day drag on forever, but at least I was there. I got tape, an ace bandage, and some ice packs to help me tonight and I just pray it gets better by Friday when we go to Paris. To make it worse we had to stay for the staff meeting and we were at work until 7:30 pm. It was a long just what went well what do we need to improve meeting and it felt pointless to be there. It was a long hard day and I just want to rest and hope that I wake up with a brand new ankle in the morning =(
